“A Salute to Veterans” – Planes of Fame Air Museum Air Show May 2 & 3 2015

Planes of Fame Air Museum is proud to present Air Show 2015, May 2 & 3: “A Salute to Veterans. This year’s airshow will feature nearly 50 historic aircraft, performing for your enjoyment as well as a salute to our veterans. We invite you to Airshow 2015 to celebrate the history, contributions, and sacrifices of our veterans.

Performers include U.S.A.F. F-22 Raptor Demo Team and Heritage Flight, Sean D. Tucker-Team Oracle Aerobatics, Canadian Forces CF-18 Hornet Demonstration Team, Sea Fury Aerobatics by Sanders Aeronautics, Clay Lacy’s Learjet Demonstration, Rob Harrison and the Tumbling Bear, Gregory Colyer’s T-33, John Collver’s AT-6 Aerobatics, and over 40 WWII aircraft including B-25, P-47, and P-51s.

Disney “Planes” lands at Planes of Fame Air Museum

Short Notice!

During the The Planes of Fame Air Museum’s August living history event featuring the Vought F4U Corsair Disney will be in attendance and will hold drawings hourly for VIP family tickets to see the Disney movie “Planes” movie at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood from 9 am to 1 pm.

You’ll also be able to purchase your movie tickets during the event!

Bring the family and check out the airplane that inspired “Skipper” from Planes, and make sure to see Planes when it flies into theaters August 9th!

7th Annual Taste of Flight Gala – A Salute to the Mighty 8th!

Mark your calendar for the 7th Annual Taste of Flight Saturday, October 26! The event will center on the stories of veterans of the Mighty Eighth, the greatest aerial force ever assembled. Check back often for updates on the program participants. The 7th Annual Taste of Flight will feature wine and beer tastings and a delicious selection of food stations hosted by local restaurateurs. Bid on wine and aviation-related items in the Silent Auction. And of course, the Museum’s rare aircraft will be on display front and center.

Sponsors will mingle with the speakers at the VIP reception before the event and receive reserved seating for the program. Planes of Fame Hosting United We Win – Minorities in WWII Event October 12th

The Planes of Fame Air Museum’s living history event for July is United We Win – Minorities in WWII, featuring the North American P-51 Mustang.

From the Planes of Fame Museum’s website:

Open to the public, Planes of Fame Air Museum (Chino, CA) presents its monthly Living History Event. The topic for the October 12 event is ‘United We Win – Minorities in WWII’, featuring the North American P-51 Mustang. A speaker panel of distinguished aviation experts, historians and veterans is featured, followed by a question & answer period and flight demonstration when possible. The P-51 will be on display and will perform a flight demonstration. At 12:00 noon, the Membership Sponsored raffle flight will occur.

The Planes of Fame Air Museum’s living history event for July is Test Pilots, featuring the N9MB Flying Wing, P-59 Airacomet, and the SR-71 cockpit.

The topic for the August 3 event is ‘Test Pilots’, featuring the N9MB Flying Wing, P-59 Airacomet, and the SR-71 cockpit.
