Each spring, the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation invites everyone to celebrate National Park Week. This year, from April 18 – 26 they are inviting YOU to celebrate all that America’s more than 400 national parks have to offer.
From the National Park Foundation:
From diverse wildlife and iconic landscapes, to vibrant culture and rich history, our National Park System has something for everyone.
Our national parks are kicking off National Park Week with fee-free days on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19! So, whether it is your first trip, or one of many memorable park experiences, there couldn’t be a better time to get out and explore!

I wrote about this yesterday, but there’s a press release about the shiny new logos for the National Park Service and National Park Foundation, so I thought I’d put the press release up here for you as well:
Michelle Castillo has posted an article over at ADWEEK about The National Park Service and National Park Foundation’s new logos which will be rolled out over the next two years in anticipation of the NPS’s 100 Year Anniversary. From the article:
April 20th through the 28th, 2013 is National Park Week! For National Park Week 2013, get free admission to all National Parks (including your parking fees waived) weekdays from April 22-26. Check with your local National Park (with 401 national parks, there’s bound to be one near you!) to make sure what the costs are before you jump in the car. There’s a diclaimer on most sites: “Fee waiver includes: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.”
