Discount Books Daily Launches Curated Email Newsletter for Book Lovers Seeking Discounts and Variety

Daily email offers subscribers discounted eBooks, paperback books and audiobooks in various genres.

Discount Books Daily is a daily email newsletter for book lovers looking for deep discounts on genre-specific audiobooks, eBooks and/or paperback books. Membership is free and subscribers gain access to books from traditional publishers as well as top-notch independent authors. The vision is simple: make interesting, discounted books (in the genres and formats readers prefer) that are easy to find and easy to purchase.

Discount Books Daily aims to provide readers access to deeply discounted books without forgetting one truth: readers need and want choices. “We’re a team of readers. And though we have that in common, what we read and how we read is quite different. I might download a new book onto my tablet, but my partner Miles, who is a new dad, gets his best reading done listening to audiobooks during his work commute. There are also people like my husband who enjoy touching the cover of a book, dog-earing the pages and placing a book on their bookshelves. We don’t want to forget them,” says co-founder Tina Patterson.

The subscription service is all about the reader. Subscribers select their favorite book genres and preferred reading formats (audiobook, eBook or paperback book) and a team of curators works behind the scenes to present the best reading options according to each subscriber’s preferences. Discount Books Daily curators look at popular retailers such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Audible, and Kobo, but they also search elsewhere for obscure, compelling authors. “We know people love a good deal. Since we’re book lovers ourselves, we thought it would be a great service for other bibliophiles who just don’t have the time to search all over the net to find new and interesting books at great prices,” says co-founder Miles Liedtke.

Discount Books Daily is easy to use; subscribers only pay for the books they want to read. The deeply discounted prices make it an affordable way for voracious readers to add new titles to their virtual or physical libraries. “Our average eBook title ranges from free to just under $3. We try to look for audiobook and paperback deals that offer subscribers 50% savings. More than anything, we want to make sure we deliver titles people want to read, in the formats they love and at just the right prices,” says Patterson.
