Trail Life USA Leadership Training is coming to a city near you

Trail Life USA’s (TLUSA) National Director of Field Operations, Rob Green, announces a robust training program beginning in April and running through September in cities across the nation. “We are so impressed with our Area Teams and Point Men; they are fulfilling our vision of a volunteer-driven organization!” said Green.

Trail Leader Trainings (TLT’s) are designed to inform and support adult volunteers, Troop Committee members, and “direct contact” Program leaders. Troop leaders will connect with peers from other nearby Troops, find support from Area Team members, get the latest information, and have (nearly) every question answered.

All locations will include Friday evening activities and will run through Saturday afternoon. Some locations will also have Saturday events that run into the evening. Topics, speakers and registration info are being added to our site daily! Registration for the first Training location is now available. Every conference will include at least one national Board member in attendance, plus Executive and Administrative staff from the Home Office. Special speakers, gatherings, receptions for Pastors and info sessions for potential and pre-chartered Troops are also being planned. Some locations may offer family activities or youth leadership training (but again, these conferences are designed to prepare adult Troop Leaders to lead effectively).

Individual city information will be updated as Area Leaders finalize their details on accommodations and meeting locations. Policies on youth in attendance will vary based on the scheduled sessions. Contact the local leadership for information before bringing youth. In no cases will childcare be provided. Volunteers of every experience level are welcome – whether you are brand new or a seasoned veteran, this conference is designed for you!
