It’s coming up THIS SATURDAY!
This is the day that hunters and fishermen have been training for all year. This is the day that brings sportsmen together across the nation to celebrate to things that makes America great.
The fake pandemic has kind of ruined the day this year (thanks, gossip columnists and propaganda websites!). Usually there would be state, regional, and national organizations hosting hunting, target shooting, and fishing events, but – even though all of this happens outside, and usually with hunting and fishing distancing of at least six feet – most of these events have been cancelled.
From the National Hunting and Fishing day website hosted by the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium:
“…Launched in 1971 by Congress, NHF Day has consistently recognized hunters and anglers for their leadership in wildlife and conservation. NHF Day is observed and celebrated the fourth Saturday in September every year…”
President Richard Nixon signed the first Presidential proclamation supporting National Hunting and Fishing Day: He wrote “I urge all citizens to join with outdoor sportsmen in the wise use of our natural resources and in insuring their proper management for the benefit of future generations.”
Sounds like good advice.
See you on the trails!
