Four Mile Trail reopened!

FourMileTrailheadFour Mile Trail from Yosemite Valley to Glacier Point has reopened. It’s usually closed from December through May because of “dangerous winter conditions,” with the last mile to the top almost NEVER opened up until May.  Even though we’re experiencing a mild winter here on the west coast, it doesn’t hurt to be prepared for winter conditions from Union Point to Glacier Point.

Four Mile Trail is a ‘moderate to strenuous’ trail with the trail head on the valley floor just west of the Swinging Bridge Recreation Area.  The trail climbs up the south side to Glacier Point over a course of 4.8 miles with an elevation change of 3,200 feet.

From Wikipedia:
